I loved this tweet so much because we often reduce the 2nd house to money and resources, but it also describes somatic perception. After all, the 2nd house belongs to the Taurus archetype the wisdom of the earth element speaks through the body before the mind.
When we describe the 2nd house as the field of tangible perception, it means a person feels with the body before analyzing mentally. When the 2nd house is strong, intuition operates through the nervous system rather than through thought.
The energy of an environment can show up as stomach tension, relaxation, calm, or unease in the body. Who is trustworthy is often understood through an instinct that cannot immediately be explained.
Sensitivity to sensory details such as tone of voice, touch, and vibration increases. Food, physical contact, sexuality, and rhythm can become gateways to intuition.
The feeling of “something isn’t right” can be very clear, even when a logical explanation is not immediately available.
In this sense, the 2nd house functions differently from the dream-like, unconscious-based intuition of the 8th and 12th houses what we’re talking about here is somatic intuition.
Those of you with personal placements in the 2nd house, how does this show up for you? My Moon, Mars, and North Node are in my 2nd house, the house ruled by my Moon connects to my 12th, and I genuinely feel irregularities directly in my body 😅
